Q: Do you sell personalised registration numbers?
A: No! We simply sell plates that go onto your vehicle, contact DVLA or Reg Transfers to purchase your registration, then come to us for the plates.
Q: If i don't add spacing to my registration, will you?
A: No, we make the plate exactly as you design it on the website.
Q: Do you put anything else on the plates other than what i ordered, for example your details?
A: On some plates we put the BS number, this states the materials used meet the BS standard. To get us to put our name and postcode on type No1showplates for your slogan, we can only do this if your plate is 100% legal, if you don't put this on and your plates are legal we will not put our details on.
Q: I can not see the size of plate I want, can you cut plates down to fit?
A: No. However, we can do pressed metal Black Plates, call for details.
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: If your plates have not been made then we can cancel your order. We reserve the right to charge a £5 admin charge on cancelled orders. When we take orders online we incure merchant costs in processing your credit card. We charge the admin fee to cover these costs. If the plates have been made and sent then orders can not be cancelled.
Q: What if I make a mistake in my order?
A: We are afraid that if mistakes are down to the customer there is nothing we can do, please make sure your order is correct before submitting it. Your invoice shows the order as we received it. We are not oblidged to replace plates if the mistake is yours, Number Plates are considered personalised items. See the link on our T&C page to the Trading Standards website to find out more. We treat each case on its own merits. Our website records logs of activity as plates are designed, we can resolve disputes by refering to these logs.
Q: What if you make a mistake making my plates?
A: If we make a mistake we will of course recitfy the problem and issue a replacement set of plates. All we ask is you send us a email with a picture of the mistake to our email address. If this is not possible then send the plates back to us. If the mistake is ours we will refund your postage costs. We can not issue replacements until we see the plates or a picture of the plates, this is company policy as in the past people have botched the fitting of their plates, and then claimed we made a mistake - when we had not.
Q: Can I place a order by telephone?
A: Yes, however we do prefer you to order via the website - it's safe and secure. This eliminates any errors that may creep in. We can not take responsibilty for any errors in phone orders.
Q: Do I have to have the frames and fixing kit or are they an optional extra?
A: They are optional - you don't need the frames to fix your plates to your vehicle.
Q: I want to order more than one set of plates, can i get a discount?
A: We treat multiple orders on merit, and of course will try to offer you a discount - but only on orders of 5 or more sets. From time to time we may off discount codes to our customers, keep your eyes open for them!
Q: I have my own images I wish to have on the plate, do you do this?
A: Yes - follow the procedure given above attaching the images to your email.
Q: When will my order be dispatched?
A: Orders placed before 5pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day. If there is a problem with your order we will normally try to contact you. Orders placed after 5pm Friday and on Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched the following Monday.
Q: How are they sent?
A: Orders are dispatched by First Class Royal Mail as standard, this is included in the price. The plates are packaged in padded envelopes and should reach you in perfect condition. The packages will fit through a standard sized letter box.
Q: I need the plates ASAP can you do next day delivery?
A: Yes on the checkout there are delivery options, including special delivery which means yours plates will be with you next day before 1pm (excluding Sunday). Someone will have to sign for the package. There are extra charges for this. Plates ordered Monday to Thursday will be delivered by special delivery next day before 1pm. If you place your order on a friday and require next day delivery please make sure you select Saturday Special Delivery, otherwise the plates will be delivered by normal special delivery monday.
Q: How long does it take for the plates to arrive?
A: Normally plates sent by normal post arrive within 48 hours. It can take upto 5 working days for first class mail to be delivered.
Q: Can I see if the plates have been dispatched?
A: Yes, enter your order number on the home page of the site. This will tell you if your plates have been dispatched. The time and date refer to the time the plates were made, plates are collected from us by our nice postman Keith every evening. Plates are sent the day they are made.
Q: My plates have been dispatched and have not arrived - what can I do?
A: After 5 days contact your local delivery office - we have had instances in the past where the plates are waiting to be picked up due to a failed delivery, and the Royal Mail does not always leave a card. We can not issue replacement plates till 15 working days have elapsed - this is the time scale for a item to be considered officially lost by the Royal Mail and as such we can not claim from the Royal Mail till 15 working days have elapsed. We reserve the right to charge for replacement sets if the failed delivery is due to the failure to collect from your delivery office on your part and the plates subsequently get returned to us.
Q: My plates have arrived and they are damaged, what do i do?
A: Damaged plates must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt, upon receipt of them and subject to scrunity we will of course replace the set.
Q: Does shouting at you and getting abusive over the phone get things done?
A: No -we are nice people and we like nice people, we help nice people out, nasty people get nothing!
